Summary
Lancashire's James Anderson has been ruled out of contention for the second Test against New Zealand at Headingley tomorrow after sustaining a bruised left heel. Anderson was withdrawn from the England squad last night after failing to play a full part in practice in Leeds and replaced in-form Kent seamer Martin Saggers.
Burnley-born Anderson was unlikely to feature in England's starting line-up with the selectors expected to prefer the combination which helped them claim a seven-wicket opening Test victory at Lord's.See the full content of this document
