Proposals to pull down a historic building in a busy town have been condemned. The 93-year-old YMCA building at Pontmorlais, Merthyr Tydfil, could be demolished to make way for luxury houses. The building, empty since the 1980's, was bought in a private sale five years ago by businessman Nazir Mohammed, who

is considering building houses on the site, stating the building is a danger in its current state.
