Bosses are hoping to get a royal seal of approval for their work to drive up literacy and numeracy skills. Employers will be meeting Princess Anne on Monday in Cardiff at an event aimed at improving reading, writing and maths skills among the Welsh workforce.
Organised by the Basic Skills Agency, of which the Princess Royal is a patron, and the Confederation of British Industry (CBI), the event in Holland House Hotel, Newport Road, aims to promote the Basic Skills Agency's Employers Pledge Award.
