I AM writing because I am sure the public are confused or concerned that Labour councillors have not made any comments about the proposed waste treatment plant being considered by the Prosiect Gwyrdd Partnership of five local authorities.
Your readers should be informed that when the news emerged that one of the companies involved intended to move its site to Dow Corning, we were told that because of the Prosiect Gwyrdd protocol we could not make any comment about any of the developers or the sites. The advice read: "As a partner organisation within the project, Vale of Glamorgan elected members and officers are not permitted to advise the press directly on matters in relation to the project."See the full content of this document
