Sporting events at the Millennium Stadium with its retractable roof are unlikely to be a victim of the weather. But back in the days of the National Ground in 1982, heavy snow forced the first- ever cancellation of an international rugby match.

The Barbarians were due to play their last game against visitors Australia on Saturday, January 9 but the blanket of snow which fell forced the WRU's decision to cancel.
