Summary
Members of an historic South Wales community are being invited to anniversary celebrations. Cardiff's Newtown Memorial Garden was opened last year by one of its most famous daughters, Charlotte Church, in memory of the city community. The area around Tyndall Street where Charlotte's grandmother lived was known as Little Ireland before it was bulldozed for development.
Newtown Association chairman Mary Sullivan said: 'The garden has become a place for friends and families of Newtown to visit, reflect and remember people they have lost.'See the full content of this document
