THE following cases were heard at Cardiff Magistrates' Court: - James Anthony Paul Evans, 37, of Bute Street, Butetown, Cardiff, was sentenced to four months in jail after being convicted of assaulting a police officer on July 28. At the same hearing Evans pleaded guilty to the provocation of violence, and to the theft of two packets of sandwiches from Cardiff University's student union store. No separate penalty was issued.
- Christopher Hackett, 36, of Blaen Ifor, Caerphilly, was fined pounds 35 and had three penalty points added to his driving licence after he admitted driving an L-reg vehicle on North Road while using a mobile phone.See the full content of this document
