PARENTS booking cheap family holidays during term-time have been blamed for a massive rise in children's primary school absences.
In the three years to 2006-07 the number of unauthorised absences in South Wales rose 27% to576,012,while in Cardiff alone it went upby43,407 to158,067 - another 27% rise.See the full content of this document
