Summary
The recent St David's Day concert in the Hawthorn Leisure Centre featuring Peter Karrie and Jill Washington was a huge success. This should be put down to the artistes themselves, and the technical experience of the sound technician, who, in his own words, just about overcame the deficiencies of the local facilities. It is about time that Rhondda Cynon Taf had a proper auditorium. Local leisure centres do nothing for the profile of our area.

In February I saw Cor Meibion Pontypridd in concert with two other local choirs, Cambrian and Morlais, in the Ystrad Rhondda Leisure Centre, and very successful it was. But let's be honest: the hall is not a concert hall!See the full content of this document
