In the second day of the Echo's Back the Bikes campaign, Katie Bodinger looks at what is being done to help get people to cycle into the city to work, and what facilities there are on offer to encourage shoppers to leave their cars at home.:Cardiff city centre WILL become more bike friendly, it was promised today. The number of bike racks will double in the near future pledged City centre manager Paul Williams. "There are lots of developments happening in the city," he said. "Over the next few years, more facilities will be put in place for cyclists. "People are looking for long-term remedies to issues such as parking and the environment. "It is one form of transport people favour. We will have cycling facilities in all the new schemes we do, with street furniture being included as part of every process.
