A pensioner who died in a horrific car crash was today called 'an inspiration' by his family. Sixty-one-year-old Ieuan Roberts, a father of two from Kenfig Hill, near Bridgend, was killed when his blue Rover 75 collided head on with a Ford Mondeo. The 39-year-old female driver of that car and a four-year-old girl also died. A third passenger, an 11-year-old girl, is fighting for her life in hospital following the incident at 3.55pm on Wednesday on the A48, near Pyle.
In a statement issued through police today, Mr Roberts' wife Janet, son David and daughter Nia, said: 'Ieuan was a man of many talents.
