Being 'Geeky' gets me bullied
I suppose I'm a geek or a nerd, or whatever. I'm going into second year of college soon. I'm dreading it. I was bullied in school because of the way I look (weedy, floppy-hair, thick specs, etc.) and even though I'm a mature student now, (at 22), I'm still being avoided, or sniggered at or openly ridiculed. I try to keep my head down and I really enjoy my studies, which is what college is about, isn't it? However, I am lonely and would love to be a bit more sociable but it just doesn't happen, R.J.
