YOUNG people from jobless families are more likely to end up in the dole queue themselves, according to a study. The children of unemployed parents also tend to feel far less confident about their own future, the report revealed. Called Destined for the Dole?, its findings showed that 70% struggled to find a job, while nearly one in five (18%) expected to end up on benefits because others around them had.
One in four felt that their parents did not have the knowledge to help them find employment, while almost one in 10 (9%) had not even thought about what career they want.See the full content of this document
