just AFTER a highly successful and well supported barbecue at Eglwys Newydd Primary school last Friday, I was disappointed to note the council's comments in your article ("School's fun day cash will help fight closure", July 10).
is Despite confirming our parental investigation that revealed a lack of English-medium places at reception class level for this September's intake in north Cardiff, the council's rebuttal is to continue pursuing the highly questionable argument of out-of- catchment children (and I stress children, not numbers), who are actually attending their nearest school but not necessarily their catchment school? I challenge the council to name the schools Eglwys Newydd is depriving pupils of - and to name the reasons why.See the full content of this document
