Ex-Boss of Specsavers Jailed After Health Care Fraud Scam

A former Specsavers boss convicted of a pounds 56,000 NHS claims scam has been jailed for two years. Roger King, 61, of Angleton Terrace, Penycae, Bridgend, was found guilty by a jury of conspiracy to defraud Bro Taf Health Authority over five years while he was a director at Merthyr Tydfil's High Street store.

Three of his former members of staff, who had admitted the joint charge, were also sentenced yesterday at Merthyr Crown Court.
