A SOUTH Wales travel retailer which has been selling holidays for more than half a century has been declared a "financial failure" by the UK's leading travel association.

Abta, which represents travel agencies across the country, yesterday said it had withdrawn the membership of Gill's Cruise Centre, based in Llanishen, Cardiff.
