Summary
Families who were left stranded after flooding hit their homes have failed in their bid to claim compensation. More than 30 families from the Pantglas Fawr Estate and surrounding area, suffered extensive damage to their homes and property when the River Taff burst its banks in 1998.
They took action against Merthyr Tydfil council, and the then National Coal Board, claiming the removal and relocation of coal spoil onto a flood plain nearby played a part in the devastation.See the full content of this document
