A fight to save a unique relic has been launched after it was allowed to fall into disrepair - despite a painstaking restoration. The Melingriffith water lift engine in Ty Mawr Road, Whitchurch, Cardiff, is the only one of its kind in the world but could be in danger of falling apart unless action is taken to preserve it.
