A FORMER mayoress of Penarth and the Vale of Glamorgan has died four days before her 80th birthday.

Teresa Leddington's husband, Desmond Leddington, was Mayor of Penarth in 1974 and Mayor of the Vale in 1992. Her brother, John Smith, was Lord Mayor of Cardiff.
