HEART attack victims in South Wales are missing out on potentially life-saving treatment aimed at restoring them to full health after their illness.

Six out of 10 survivors of heart attacks across the region fail to receive the vital rehabilitation which gives them a greater chance of surviving following their diagnosis, it was revealed today. A new report by the British Heart Foundation (BHF) has discovered widespread gaps in the service which helps patients with fitness, medical advice and lifestyle changes involving diet and smoking.
