Summary


The last post has sounded for a unique society run by veterans of World War II. Now well into their 80s, the members of the Three Services Golfing Society are calling it a day. For the last 60 years, the veterans have met up around eight times a year at courses in South Wales to play and reminisce. But bad knees, ageing hips and fallen comrades have taken their toll on the once 300-strong society.

"It's the march of time and we can't do anything about it," said member David Buck, 88, from St Mellons, Cardiff.
