RUSSELL Goodway has promised to once again be a major force in the political fray in Cardiff - but insisted he would not seek the vacant leadership of the Labour group.

The Ely councillor, who won his council seat comfortably despite a challenge from Plaid, told the Echo he would not put himself up for the position left vacant after leader John Sheppard was ousted by the Liberal Democrats in Llandaff.
