I HAVE been keeping an eye on prices for three to seven-year-old cars to see if they are being affected by the scrappage scheme. Why, when the scheme is for 10-year-old cars? Because if you were thinking of changing your car, and have decided to buy a new one because of the scrappage scheme, it means there is a used one that you didn't buy. Less demand should mean softer prices.
The three cars below are all examples of used cars that are pounds 3,000 cheaper than a new one. Just like a scrappage deal. But with less warranty and so on.See the full content of this document
