Glamorgan's fortunes swung rather like the ball on a rain- interrupted first day of their Frizzell County Championship clash against Nottinghamshire at Trent Bridge.

First they lost Michael Kasprowicz before the start with an eye infection, but Robert Croft made some amends by winning his third consecutive toss and then watched as Glamorgan reached 164 for two around mid-afternoon.
