Summary
On the Wales team to face the All Blacks GATLAND'S been picking his teams for two years and there is always a surprise. However, he's got a far better rugby brain than any of us (probably all of us put together!).
He knows the strengths and weaknesses of his squad and he's a New Zealander which certainly helps. Paul James at tighthead was a major surprise but Gatland knows front rows and, more importantly, Melon doesn't play out of position. Andy Powell will either be devastating or disastrous but he does attack the opposition and gives other players opportunities. Hook, Halfpenny, Shane for the back three. Cooper at scrum-half? Big ask for Martin Roberts so needs must I suppose. Given the injury situations, I think it's a pretty useful side. Whether it's useful enough I'll leave to other people to decide.See the full content of this document
