Placard-carrying residents fighting plans to build a morgue at the back of their homes in Barry staged a demonstration in the centre of the town. A group of around 20 residents lobbied Vale of Glamorgan councillors as they met to discuss the plan by funeral director John Pidgeon to store bodies in a cold store room at the back of the funeral directors' office in Court Road, Barry, on Wednesday.
