A row has broken out over plans to spend public cash on a 'lavish' dinner for Cardiff's new Lord Mayor. The main opposition party Labour said it would not support a publicly-funded installation dinner to mark the election of a new Lord Mayor, while the Conservative group said that councillors and guests should pay the 'full economic cost' of the event.
