MRS Campbell's letter (Viewpoints, March 1) also brings back many happy memories.
Our own group of playmates, boys and girls from Rodney Street, Ruperra Street and Tredegar Street, would go down Union Street to play with our friends from both schools, St David's and St Mary's, Bute Terrace. Terry Borge, Tiger Sullivan and the McKerras were names that come to mind. The two things mentioned, the garage and off-licence, I could picture but not remember what they were.
