Summary
IN his letter (Viewpoints, December 29), Mr JC Bird comments on the increase in salary being sought by Byron Davies, chief executive of Cardiff Council, and suggests that if he cannot scrape along on the pounds 184,000 per annum he is already being paid he should consider joining the ranks of the unemployed.
Since Mr Davies is unlikely to resign, perhaps it would be more relevant were an inquiry set up to examine his performance and that of his senior officers - also highly paid.See the full content of this document
