WHAT a marvellous world we have to look forward to, as envisaged by reader T G Noel Egerton whose letter of March 13, said he would like to see everyone carrying identity cards, licences for driving, fishing and everything else that they can think of.

All to be carried at all times, on pain of being arrested, if not produced.The refrain will be 'Where are your papers?' Shades of the wartime movies.
