Summary
The future of a youth centre set up to keep youngsters off the streets and away from the temptations of drink and drugs has been secured. The National Lottery has granted pounds 300,000 to the Kenfig Hill, Pyle and Cornelly youth project near Bridgend, which had been under threat of closure.
Bridgend council has also given the scheme, which helps 750 eight to 21-year-olds, the freehold on its land, enabling managers to go forward with expansion plans that could generate valuable income.See the full content of this document
