Summary
Major Bernard Schwartz cut a striking and flamboyant dash in the Cardiff Jewish community. A lifetime member of the Cardiff United Synagogue, he joined in 1949 at the age of 25 and by 32 had become the youngest president the synagogue had ever elected.
