Summary
A young man apparently jumped to his death in the River Taff today. An older man, thought to be a relative, jumped into the water at Wood Street in the early hours of the morning in a bid to save him but was not successful. The older man was hauled out of the water by rescue teams and taken to the University Hospital of Wales, Cardiff, where he was said to be cold and shocked, but with no serious injuries.
It took nearly three-and-a-half hours to find the younger man, believed to be in his early 20s, who was pulled out of the river by the special rescue unit based at Barry Fire Station.See the full content of this document
