STEPHEN McPhail could be set for his first Championship start of the season when his former club Barnsley come to Cardiff City Stadium on Saturday (3pm).

Midfield player McPhail made his first appearance as a second- half substitute during the 4-3 defeat at Peterborough and manager Malky Mackay said: "It's been a long, hard road for Stephen and there have been a couple of false dawns when he had little setbacks.
