AS a lover of singing, I jumped at the chance of a taster session in a Cardiff recording studio which is allowing everyone, from children's groups to hen parties, to record their own CDs.

I even managed to rope in some friends, who were happy to don headphones and belt out a few high notes in karaoke classics.
