A taxi driver has warned motorists to be wary of running their cars on cheap bio-diesel after he was landed with a hefty engine repair bill. With fuel prices soaring, bio-diesel made from recycled cooking oil has become more attractive to motorists. But taxi driver Eberhard Partelmess, of St Mellons, is counting the cost after filling up at a Cardiff warehouse.

"I used the bio-diesel for about two or three months and there didn't seem to be any problems," said the 44-year-old, who has been driving taxis for seven years.
