Summary
On Wednesday Viewpoints published my letter in response to Coun Gavin Cox's letter regarding councillors' allowances. I had a number of calls from ex-councillors with whom I have made friends while working for the council.
They pointed out that from their allowances they had to pay Income Tax and National Insurance contributions where applicable.See the full content of this document
