WE wish to respond to Trefor Bond's letter in Viewpoints (October 26), about the planned closure of a footbridge at Caerphilly railway station, under the heading "Bridge Saga is Quite Amazing".
The letter from Mr Bond is inaccurate. The facts are clear and it is disappointing that Mr Bond did not check them before making unfounded allegations against ward members. As ward members we did not receive notice that work to close this well-used footbridge at the railway station was about to take place until a resident contacted us stating that a notice had been placed on the bridge.See the full content of this document
