Bbc wales has been ordered to disclose details of how much it hands out in competition prizes for viewers and listeners. Information Commissioner Richard Thomas has upheld a complaint by the South Wales Echo after the BBC fought for almost two years to try to keep information secret from its licence fee-payers.

The Commissioner ruled that the information requested was not exempted from release under the Freedom of Information Act.
