The Champion Beer of Wales Competition 2009 will be held at the Great Welsh Beer & Cider Festival next week on Friday June 12 and the winner last year was O8, from the Otley Brewery of Cilfynydd and they also won the competition in 2006, again with O8. It has also won a Gold Medal in the Barley Wine category of the Champion Beer of Britain in 2006 and 2007.
