Parents Will Have Their Sayon Schools Shake-Up Plan

Parents are to have their say on the first phase of a new schools shake-up proposed for Cardiff. Cardiff council's executive yesterday agreed to launch a consultation on a series of proposals affecting 12 infant and junior schools, Ty Gwyn Special School in Penylan, Moorland Nursery, and Moorland Primary in Splott.

The proposals, which would cost around pounds 31m, were originally part of the failed school reorganisation plan, published last April. They were revived in the last few months by a special schools sub-committee set up to recommend a way forward for a new schools shake-up.
