Bus passengers in Cardiff will pay an extra 5p for most journeys from August 29, it was announced today. Cardiff Bus said the increase was necessary because of higher fuel, insurance and pensions costs, which are all rising faster than inflation.
Managing director David Brown said: 'The fare increases will allow us to not only improve the service we offer the public but continue to train and develop staff. The industry average for staff turnover last year was 25 per cent but at Cardiff Bus we achieved a figure of just 10 per cent.See the full content of this document
