Summary


EARLIER this year, the team consisting of Gemma Foster, Jill Brace, Gay Murphy (who play at The Wheatsheaf Inn, Llanhennock), and Barabara Vaughan (who plays at Caerleon RFC), qualified to represent Wales at the Women's World Petanque Championships, in Thailand, this November.

The game of petanque is an up and coming sport in Wales and there are currently two leagues in South Wales - the WPA Cardiff League, which consists of two divisions of 10 teams, and the Boules In Gwent League, which has nine and 10 teams.
