I refer to Peter Collins' comment in Thursday's Echo regarding Kylie Minogue's breast cancer and can only say a very loud and resounding 'hear hear'.The media have gone OTT with the reporting of it. Reports are 'breaking news' and 'latest update'. I think Peter hit the nail on the head with his thoughts on the Kylie situation.
Yes, it is a very sad and traumatic time for anyone who has to go through any form of cancer. However, as he rightly pointed out, there are millions of other people out there who are suffering and fighting for their lives on a daily basis, yet the society we are in doesn't seem to care for ordinary people.
