STEPHANIE WILKINS in her letter asks if someone can change the railway station's name from the incorrect Llandaff, to the correct Llandaff North ("Upgrade is great news, but please correct name to Llandaff North!", YouSay, December 23).

In fact, from its inception and until the demolition of the Station Master's house and station buildings, the name of the station was Llandaff for Whitchurch. A photograph showing the original name board appears in Steve Nicholas' excellent publication Whitchurch & Llandaff North Through Time.
