Summary
This playground health and safety thing has gone mad. Kids need a bit of risk, and to take chances, otherwise they grow into wimps who have been cosseted and protected to the extent that when they grow into adults and a problem that causes mild discomfort occurs, they go to the doctors' for psychiatric treatment because they have never faced a bit of stress in their lives.
When I lived in London, the local authorities did the same thing with local children's facilities, and successfully emptied most of the playgrounds near where I lived.See the full content of this document
