Summary
Millions of pounds are on their way to Merthyr Tydfil. A pounds 2m funding boost will kick- start the town centre regeneration improvements, which are expected to create more than 100 jobs. Welsh economic development and transport minister Andrew Davies was due to announce the European Objective One funding to begin the work at today's inaugural meeting of the Heads of the Valleys regeneration programme board, being held in the town.
