TRAINED nurse Kim Davies is an instrumental figure in her community. After giving up work more than 20 years ago to look after her daughter and mother she is now involved in many community projects in Tonypandy.

As well as serving on the governing bodies of Craig Yr Eos and Dinas Junior Schools, Kim is also involved in the Friends (PTA), she is a mentor at Tonypandy Community College, volunteer at Rhondda Swimming Club, on the committee of RCT Standards Committee, helped to raise pounds 1m for the Royal Glamorgan MRI Scanner appeal and is also a Justice of the Peace.
