Disabled facilities Q Do disabled facilities in a property affect its value? A Yes and no. Properties that have been modified for disabled access may lack features that a non-disabled buyer may wish to see, such as the bath taken out in favour of a walk-in shower or the garden given over to paving with ramps.

This can affect the 'kerb appeal' and first impressions, but many modifications are easy to remove during a refurbishment - grab handles and wider entrances wouldn't put off a developer or home owner who wants to redecorate anyway.
