IN RESPONSE to Mark Squire's letter (Viewpoints, February 17) on the council's proposals for schools in Whitchurch, I feel I must clarify how the reorganisation would be funded.

The council seeks to provide a better match between supply and demand for English-medium places in the area whilst also addressing an unprecedented rise in demand for Welsh-medium education.
